Made of fine cotton yarns, combed cotton has undergone an additional mechanical operation during the preparation of its fibre. It was combed during the spinning process, which means that only the long, high-quality fibres were preserved. This cotton treatment allows the fibres to better intertwine and remove the cotton from a "Ringspun" yarn, i.e. a regular, smooth and resistant yarn. To the touch, we obtain a very soft, silky, supple, tight, refined, stable to long-term washing (no fluff, very little sensitive to shrinkage) and solid to use. This results in a durable premium quality product that is very flexible and pleasant to wear, more expensive than cotton that is less processed but still affordable.
Maintenance:
Machine wash at a maximum temperature of 95°
Washing of new clothing for more flexibility and comfort from the first use
Ironing at medium temperature
Advice to extend the life of your textile:
Prefer a warm wash with mild detergents. Take care of your textile. To allow the fibres to relax, do not hesitate to cool in the tumble dryer 10 minutes before the end of the drying process.
Cotton pique fabric is a timeless material that comes in a variety of shapes - diamond, honeycomb, rib, plain pattern - giving it a textured look. Its particular weave consists of two woven weft yarns that form small hollows, similar to raised stripes. Perfect for producing textiles that are light, fresh and resistant, but also absorbent, it is widely used in sportswear, especially in polo shirts.
Maintenance:
Machine wash at a maximum temperature of 30°C
Dries in the dryer
Ironing at medium temperature
Elastane is a synthetic fibre derived from polyurethane, highly appreciated in the textile and sports sector for its elasticity. Elastane appeared in the sports world in the 1970s, to make cycling, dance and gymnastics clothing, which is now widely used in particular for ski clothing and swimwear. Much more resistant than latex, elastane is highly elastic (up to 600%) and returns to its original shape after stretching and dries quickly. It is highly prized in the sports textile industry for its high resistance, particularly to deodorants and sweat, as well as its wrinkle-free appearance. Today, elastane mixed between 2 and 7% is found in many urban clothing, precisely for this resistance and elasticity.
Maintenance:
Machine wash at 30 to 40°C - Washing an elastane garment at high temperature could cause it to lose its elasticity and enlarge it. Do not spin or tumble dry.
Polyester is a synthetic fibre derived from petroleum, often mixed with wool, cotton or linen in textile products. It represents 70% of the synthetic fibres in the textile industry. Polyester fibres are elastic, and resistant to both weather and light. Polyester fabrics dry very quickly and hardly wrinkle. This fibre is widely used in sports textiles, for its strength, elasticity but above all because it has a very low absorbent power, which facilitates the evacuation of perspiration, unlike cotton.
Maintenance:
Machine washable between 30 and 40°C or "synthetic laundry" program
Do not iron, this could melt the fibres, especially since polyester garments do not wrinkle
Can tolerate tumble dryer, but only at maximum moderate temperature
