Mission of DAGOBA
Our mission is to enable any organization or collective to offer personalized textiles and accessories in their colors for purchase, without any minimum order and through a free online shop.
The organization freely chooses the products to display in its shop, as well as the logo(s) placed on these products.
DAGOBA takes care of hosting and the operational management of the shop, from online sales to delivery and customer service, including ordering from the proposed brands and manufacturing and applying logos and flocking on the ordered products.
The shop is provided and operated for free because DAGOBA earns revenue from the sale of textiles and accessories as an official distributor of these brands.

Prices of Textiles
Unit Prices
In our catalog, the prices displayed for each product correspond to the unit price (the sale price of a product in a shop).
The price of a product in your shop will be: catalog price + the price of the logo you have selected for this product.
Prices are inclusive of all taxes, which means they include the applicable VAT.
Discounts for Large Quantities
For large quantity orders, you can contact DAGOBA to obtain a discount coupon to use in your shop.
The minimum quantity required to qualify for a discount depends on the type of product:
- Minimum of 50 for low-cost products (e.g., t-shirts or caps)
- Minimum of 30 for intermediate products (e.g., hoodies or jackets)
- Minimum of 20 for high-cost products (e.g., premium kimonos)
The discount offered depends on the quantity purchased and the brand of the products.
Discounts are only available if the same product is purchased and not for a mix of different products. Different versions of the same product (men, women, junior) can be combined to meet the minimum requirement. The color of the products does not count towards the minimum.
Markings (logos and flocking)
DAGOBA offers 3 types of markings on the products.
Logos without color limitations
Marking Technique
DTF (Direct to Film) printing is a modern textile printing technique that involves printing the logo directly onto a special film and then transferring it onto a product using a heat press. DTF eliminates the limitations of other techniques: screen printing limits the number of colors and prohibits gradients, and digital printing (or DTG Direct to Garment) only works on cotton products and lacks vibrant colors as the ink is absorbed by the cotton.
Advantages
- Compatibility with various textiles and accessories: Works on cotton, polyester, blends, even dark fabrics, and accessories like bags, towels, gloves, etc.
- Design versatility: Reproduces complex images with numerous details and colors.
- Durability: Resistant to repeated washing without cracking or fading.
Price
The price of the logo depends on the rectangular surface it occupies, as shown in the table below:
You must already have a demo shop and be logged in to view this information
Note that the logo cannot exceed 600 cm² (e.g., 20 cm x 30 cm).
Flocking (for free text)
Use Cases
Almost all our products feature optional flocking text placements, such as text on the upper back or text on the front of a bag.
Advantages of our flocking
For products, the default colors of flocking are white (on dark products) and black (on light products), but it is often more harmonious to offer flocking in one of the colors of your logo.
Instead of using flex rolls with a limited number of colors, we also perform text flocking using the DTF technique, allowing you to freely choose the marking color (with an RGB color code) in the general shop configuration or even specifically for each product.
Examples of flocking and associated dimensions
Here are some examples of flocking optionally offered to buyers on the products:
- Large text on the upper back: 5 cm high for adult products, 4 cm high for junior sizes
- Large number in the middle of the back: 20 cm high for adult sizes, 16 cm for junior sizes
- Small text on the chest (usually opposite the logo): 3 cm high
- Large number on the chest or on shorts: 9 cm high
If the text is too large to fit within the maximum available width (automatically estimated by the system), the text is automatically resized as follows:
- Compression of the letters up to a certain limit (to avoid overlapping letters)
- If that is insufficient, reduction of the letter height
The dimensions of this flocking are calculated and performed automatically by the system. It is not possible to request fixed dimensions in advance (as buyers are free to determine the content of the flocking).

Logos in Embroidery
Embroidery at DAGOBA
We offer single-unit embroidery for logos. The logo is stitched with threads of various colors directly onto the product. Embroidery is more expensive, mainly because it requires a machine to be used for quite a long time, sometimes over an hour.
DAGOBA only offers embroidery up to 80 cm² (approximately 9 cm in diameter).
Use Cases for Embroidery
Some of our products can only be marked with embroidery, such as our kimonos. We do not perform DTF on kimonos.
On the other hand, embroidery is not recommended for certain products, particularly if they are too thin, like t-shirts, or if they are meant to be worn directly on the skin (shirt or t-shirt), because the stitching on the other side of the fabric is not very comfortable.
The most suitable items for embroidery are thick clothing like polos, jackets, or coats, and accessories like caps, bags, or towels.
Embroidery Program
To embroider your logo on the products ordered from your shop, we need an embroidery program (also called a stitching program). This is a digital file containing all the instructions required for an embroidery machine to stitch the logo using the available colored thread spools. The program is created from the original design and translates shapes, colors, and contours into a precise sequence of stitches.
An embroidery program generally consists of 3 files:
- The .dst file (or .pes or .exp) which is sent to the machine
- The .emb file which allows the embroidery program to be edited with certain software
- The .pdf file which provides information (number of stitches, dimensions, code, and length of each thread color) and especially a calculated visual rendering of what the embroidery will look like
If your logo design is complex or has very fine details, it may need to be simplified to fit the capabilities of the embroidery machine, as very fine details or color gradients cannot be reproduced in embroidery.
You must provide us with these files, and we use them to embroider your logo when a product with embroidery is ordered.
If you do not have these files, we will need to create them through our embroidery service.
Our service for creating the embroidery program for your logo costs
You must already have a demo shop and be logged in to view this information
This is only valid for specific dimensions.
Once created, the embroidery program belongs to you, and you can use it in any embroidery workshop to embroider your logo.
Note: A different embroidery program is required for each size of the logo. The same logo at 9 cm in diameter and 5 cm in diameter requires two different programs.
We offer a discount for creating a second embroidery program for the same logo but in different dimensions.

The Shop
Opening/Configuration
The Demo Shop
To open a shop, you must start by requesting a demo shop (an example shop).
The request is made by answering three questions on the form:
- Your organization: name (to title the shop), type of organization, and optionally field of activity—to help the system select the most relevant assortment for your example.
- Your preferred colors (one or two colors) to select products in your colors.
- Your logo (if you don’t have your logo ready in the correct PNG format, the system can generate a temporary logo, and you can add your logos later).
Once the request is submitted and confirmed by clicking the link in the confirmation email sent to you, the shop creation begins and takes between 2 and 3 minutes.
Once the shop is generated, you can:
- View the example shop generated.
- Access the shop dashboard in your account (here on this site, not in the shop).
This demo shop is completely free and without obligation, and you can modify it freely.
The Dashboard
Once the demo shop is generated, your dashboard is activated.
In the dashboard, you can access three key areas:
- The product selection.
- The logos.
- The shops.
Product Selection
On the left side of the dashboard, you’ll find the products selected from the catalog. Initially, you’ll see the products chosen to create the demo shop, as well as any products you may have selected before requesting the demo shop.
You can browse the catalog and add products to your selection.
When you click on a product in the catalog, you can add it to your selection. You can add up to two additional colors to the color already displayed.
For each product, you can select a maximum of three colors.
When you add a product to your selection, the other versions of this product (if available, such as Women and/or Junior versions) will also be added to your selection—unless you uncheck the “Add other versions of this product” option.
Similarly, if you click on a product in your selection to change its selected colors or remove it from your selection, make sure to check or uncheck this box to apply or not apply the changes to other versions.
When you are in the dashboard, the products in the selection are grayed out if they are already displayed in the shop currently shown on the dashboard, helping you identify non-displayed products.
Logos
In the same left panel of the dashboard, you’ll find your list of logos.
You can upload one or more logos and place them freely on the products of your choice.
If you requested the demo shop without providing a logo, the system already generated two temporary logos for you: one logo for dark products and one logo for light products.
When you have your own logos available in the correct format (PNG with transparency), upload them into the files of the existing logos instead of creating new logos, as this will directly place your new logos on the products and save you from editing each product individually.
Logo Contrast with Products
It is very important to ensure the contrast of the logo color with the product it is placed on.
If you requested a demo shop without providing your logo, the system created two logos for you:
- One logo for “light” products (white, light gray, yellow, light green, etc.).
- One logo for “dark” products (black, red, blue, dark green, etc.).
If you have uploaded your logo, make sure its color does not blend with the color of the product it is placed on.
If your logo is the same color or close to the color (or one of the colors) of your products, you have two solutions:
- Ask your graphic designer to create a negative version of your logo (by changing or inverting certain colors).
- Ask your graphic designer to add a white or black outline, or another color that contrasts with the product.
Each time you upload a new logo to your list, you must indicate which background this logo will work well on (Light background, Dark background, or Both).
This information allows the system to automatically choose the correct logo for each product color when adding products to the shop.
For example, if you have a t-shirt in your selection with two colors, light gray and black, when you drag and drop this t-shirt into the shop, the system will apply your light-background logo to the light gray t-shirt and your dark-background logo to the black t-shirt. This saves you from manually changing the logo for each product color.
Image Format and Transparency
The file format for your logos must be and can only be PNG.
The background around your logo must be transparent.
If your logo is surrounded by a white or solid-colored rectangle when uploaded, you will not be able to use this logo on the products.
By selecting Light Background or Dark Background immediately after uploading a logo, you can verify its transparency and provide the correct indication to the system (before saving the logo).
Print Quality (Versus Web Quality)
PNG images have two critical intrinsic parameters:
- Pixel dimensions (height and width in pixels).
- Resolution (or density) of points per physical dimension: points per inch (ppi) or millimeter. The most common unit is ppi or dpi (dots per inch).
Images intended for websites do not need high resolution; they are typically at 72 dpi, which keeps file sizes manageable.
For textile printing, we require a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and a logo dimension of at least 3500 pixels on the longest side. If your logo image has large transparent margins, aim for 4000 pixels on the side of the image.
You can start building the shop with smaller 72 dpi logos, which are sufficient for screen rendering.
However, to physically produce the logo (on DTF film) before applying it to your products, we need the 3500/4000 pixel version at a minimum of 300 dpi when processing orders.
When you upload and save a logo in the system, it will display these two parameters (pixel dimensions and dpi resolution).
If the parameters are shown in red as insufficient, you must ask your graphic designer to export your logo with sufficient quality (request 4000 pixels and 300 dpi).
Never enlarge a smaller logo to reach 4000 pixels, as it will only zoom in on the poor quality of your image, making it unusable. Always start with larger dimensions and the highest quality to scale down to 4000 pixels and 300 dpi. Use the original vector file to export to PNG.
If you only have a web-quality file, you can still create the shop and place your logo on the products while waiting to receive the correct format. Simply upload a better-quality file (into the already-created logo used on the products) when it becomes available after your graphic designer’s work.
Vectorize Your Logo
If your logo does not have sufficient quality for textile printing, you can have it vectorized by one of the many online services that provide this service for a modest fee.
Logo vectorization involves converting a bitmap or raster image (such as a JPEG or PNG file, made up of a grid of colored dots, or pixels) into a vector image (such as an SVG or AI file, based on geometric shapes). This allows for a logo that can be resized without any loss of quality, making it ideal for textile or paper printing.
We can recommend the most effective services if you are unsure.
Once you have your logo in vector format, you can use it in any dimension, for example, very large on a wall, without any pixelation (the edges turning into small squares).
For textiles, you can export it to the dimensions and resolution we need: 4000 pixels and 300 dpi.
Different Versions of Each Logo
When you upload a logo, the system automatically calculates and suggests different “versions” of your logo, which are practically just different sizes of the logo.
There are two reasons to have several versions of each logo:
- The cost of a DTF logo depends on its rectangular surface.
- Logo placements on products cannot accept just any size. For example, on caps, the logo cannot be taller than 5 cm and wider than 9.5 cm.
For DTF logos, the different rectangular surfaces and their associated costs are as follows:
You must already have a demo shop and be logged in to view this information
Based on the shape of your logo and the maximum dimensions of some standard placements (e.g., heart placement or cap placement), the system calculates the optimal versions for each cost, particularly the largest possible height and width for surfaces S2, S3, and S4.
The system also generates a version called Junior that must be used on Junior-sized products. Otherwise, the logo might not fit on the product when applied.
Actual Dimensions of Logos
The logos are automatically produced by the machine in millimeter dimensions defined for each version in the table to the right of the image.
You can change the dimensions in mm for each version, but be careful not to exceed a surface threshold, as the cost of the logo will change, and consequently, the prices of all products using this logo version will also change.
Instead of modifying the dimensions, especially for Junior and Standard versions that are thoughtfully proposed by the system, create additional versions that can be used for specific placements.
Product Visuals with the Selected Logo Version / Optical Effect
When the shop is updated, the system automatically generates visuals associating the logo with each size of each product. The same logo (a version of this logo chosen for the product, such as Standard) will appear larger on XS-sized products and smaller on 2XL-sized products, as each logo version has fixed dimensions, shown in the logo’s detail sheet in mm.
The visual generated with the logo is approximate and not contractual. Only the dimensions in mm defined for each logo version are guaranteed, as the logo is automatically produced by the machine based on these millimeters.
To get a real sense of how a given logo version will look on a garment or accessory, cut out a sheet of paper according to the millimeters specified for this version and place this paper logo on a garment or accessory you own.
Be aware of the visual effect caused by many products being displayed flat and not worn, which gives the impression that the front and back are larger than they actually are, making the logo seem smaller. This is an optical illusion.
In practice, 20% to 30% of the surface shown flat is actually on the sides of the body, meaning the logo occupies proportionally more surface than it may appear when viewing the product laid flat.
Cutting out the logo on paper provides a more realistic idea compared to the flat visual.
The Shop(s)
In the dashboard, you can create one or more shops.
The simplest way to create your first shop is to modify the demo shop initially provided.
Shop Draft
To edit a shop, use the orange button at the top right of the shop.
The button creates a shop draft where you can work as long as you want without affecting the live shop, ensuring visitors are not disrupted by ongoing modifications.
You never directly modify a shop. Instead, you create a “draft shop,” make all the desired changes there (saving as you go), and only when the draft is finalized do you replace the live shop with the draft (blue button with two checks).
Before replacing the live shop with the draft, you can even generate the draft shop’s website to verify the outcome of all changes concretely.
Shop Internet Address (URL)
The shop is hosted on a subdomain of dagoba.app of your choice, for example, https://organization-name.dagoba.app.
Choose a simple subdomain composed of words and hyphens, without accents or special characters.
When the demo shop is generated, the system creates a unique URL based on the organization name and appends a suffix
-demo-NNN
, typically organization-name-demo-NNN. You can change this subdomain. At a minimum, remove the
-demo-NNN
part, as it is not appropriate for a live shop. It is just a temporary subdomain assigned by the system.Other Shop Options: Main Logo, Colors, and Links to Your Organization
All details presented in the shop configuration panel are editable:
- The shop title, by default the name of your organization.
- The shop subtitle, by default "Official Shop."
- The main logo displayed in the shop’s header. To change it, drag and drop one of your logos onto the logo box to the left of the shop name.
- The shop URL (see above).
- The shop’s primary color, used for text in the shop. It must be visible on the shop’s white background (e.g., black, red, blue, dark green). Avoid light or pale colors (e.g., gray, yellow, sky blue, pink). If you have a pale color, use it as the secondary color.
- The shop’s secondary color, which should contrast with the primary color. It is used to color certain shop illustrations and to write text on the primary color background, so it should be as light as possible. If no secondary color is chosen, leave it as light gray.
- Links to your website and social media, which will appear at the top of the shop.
Product Collections
In the shop, products are displayed in collections.
Since live shops are not editable, the following instructions apply only to draft shops.
You can add products to collections by dragging and dropping them from the selection into the collection. To do this, grab the products by the small orange dots in the upper left corner of the product.
The demo shop starts with three usual (but not mandatory) collections: Lifestyle, Sportswear, and Bags & Accessories.
You have the freedom to create, modify, delete, rename, and reorder these collections as you wish.
You can rearrange products within collections (dragging them to the desired position) or even move them to another collection.
Maximum Number of Products Per Collection and Per Shop
You can add up to 9 products per collection, but it is recommended not to exceed 6 for better shop aesthetics and to avoid overwhelming visitors.
Except for exceptions, you can add up to 20 products per shop.
If you want to offer more than 20 products, rotate the products regularly and notify your community about the changes, for example, based on seasons or events within your organization.
Multi-Version Products (Men/Women/Junior)
Many products come in multiple versions, often Men, Women, and Junior.
In the dashboard, they are presented grouped together in collections, meaning they will appear as a single item in the shop.
You can choose which version is displayed first by placing that version first in the collection (using the mouse to drag it ahead of others). For example, if your community is primarily female, you can put all Women versions first. When the shop opens, all Women products will be displayed by default.
You can also create separate collections for Men, Women, and Children if you want.
Alternatively, you can separate the products within a collection. However, this significantly increases the number of products in the collection and may exceed the 9-item limit. When multi-version products are grouped (default option), all versions of the same product count as only one.
If you have a collection with a t-shirt and a hoodie, you can separate the versions, creating 6 well-presented items in 2 rows—one row for t-shirts and one for hoodies. However, starting with three multi-version products in a collection, it is better to group the items.
Configuration of Each Product in the Shop
If you click on a product in a collection, you can modify its configuration for that shop and collection.
In the product configuration, you can:
- Change the product name (e.g., “TShirt Collection XYZ”).
- Rearrange the colors or remove a color.
- Select where to place your logo. Some placements are exclusive to others, so they may appear grayed out depending on previous placement choices.
- Choose the logo version for the enabled placement(s).
- Decide if the logo is optional for purchase (but each product must have at least one non-optional logo).
- Enable or disable flocking, and optionally change its color.
- Set a margin for your piggy bank for this product (dropdown menu with only certain possible values). Margins on products cannot be set in a standard shop. To add margins, you must change the shop type to “Shop with Margins.”
Be careful to differentiate logos—and optionally flocking colors—for each color of your product, especially if you have multiple logo versions, typically one for dark products and one for light products.
Design Settings for Text Customizations (Flocking)
You can globally choose for the shop:
- The font for flocking.
- The text color for flocking on "dark" products.
- The text color for flocking on "light" products.
These color choices apply by default to all products in the shop.
However, you can go to individual products (by clicking on the product to configure it) and change the shop’s default color for that specific product, for each of the product’s colors. For example, you may prefer white flocking on a light gray product, whereas the system defaults to black flocking for light gray.
If you set a specific color for a product but later change the default flocking color for the entire shop, your specific choices for all products will be reset to the new default.
Always follow this order for flocking colors:
- Set default colors for the entire shop.
- Create exceptions in individual product configurations if necessary.
Step 1 resets all previously made exceptions in step 2.
Important: If you adjust flocking color settings—whether globally for the shop or individually for products—always check on the shop itself (once regenerated) to ensure the flocking color matches what you defined for each product color. Go to the product in the shop, try a customization, and view the customization preview.
Type of Shop - Standard or with Margins
For each shop, you can choose between two usage plans, both of which are free:
- Standard shop
- Shop with margins on the products
If you want to add a margin for your organization on certain products, choose the second plan. The margins you add to each product are credited to your piggy bank with each sale. They are defined including VAT and therefore include the applicable tax. Transaction fees are applied, as described in the shop dashboard.
Activating the Shop
Once the shop is finalized by you, it can be activated provided that all logos placed on the products have print-quality files.
You can upload logos that do not meet print quality as long as they are not placed on products in the shop.
Activating the shop simply means that DAGOBA authorizes payment methods on the shop, allowing visitors to complete and pay for orders, and enabling DAGOBA to process them.
Launch
Once the shop is activated and ready to process orders, you need to promote it to your community.
Additionally, you must set up permanent direct links from your website and social media to the shop in these locations:
- The main menu of your website
- The Intro sections of your Facebook and Instagram pages
Fees and Obligations
The shop is 100% free, like a Facebook page.
To avoid incurring hosting fees for unused shops, DAGOBA requires you to place a link to the shop in the main menu of your website and in the header of your social media (Intro sections of your Facebook and Instagram pages). We have a robot that regularly checks these locations and may autonomously delete the shop if it cannot find these links over an extended period.
Closure
You can close the shop at any time upon simple request, without any fees.
If one or more orders are in the process of being handled or delivered, the shop will be closed shortly after the last delivery to allow buyers to track their orders and contact us if necessary after delivery.
The Piggy Bank
Each of your shops has an online piggy bank that you can use if desired.
Crediting the Piggy Bank
The piggy bank can be funded either by adding a margin to certain products in the shop (with each sale, the piggy bank is credited with the VAT-inclusive amount of the margin you assigned) or by funding it using a payment method (card or bank transfer).
Using the Piggy Bank
At any time and with complete autonomy, you can use the available amount in the piggy bank in one of four ways:
- Generate a discount coupon code (custom amount), which you can then share with anyone, and it can be used to apply a discount during a purchase on the shop.
- Generate a gift card (custom amount), which you can print (or send the image by email), and the code displayed in the center acts as a discount code for the shop.
- Purchase textiles directly from DAGOBA (you can use the piggy bank amount to fully or partially pay for textiles purchased directly from DAGOBA without going through the shop).
- Withdraw funds via bank transfer to your organization’s account, with a minimum amount of €10 per transfer. The first time, you must provide us with your organization’s bank details (RIB).
The piggy bank amount is VAT-inclusive, meaning it includes the VAT collected by the state on all shop sales, including any margin you may have added (which also includes a VAT portion). If you withdraw funds via bank transfer, your invoice must include your VAT number for us to pay you the collected VAT. If you do not have a VAT number, you can only withdraw the VAT-excluded amount (VAT-inclusive amount minus VAT). However, if you reuse the piggy bank amount using the first three methods, the entire VAT-inclusive amount is usable.
