Can my logo be embroidered?

Short answer: Yes, and it suits thick products particularly well — polo, jacket, coat, cap, bag, towel. Embroidery does require an embroidery program, a technical file distinct from your logo: either you provide it, or we have it made.

Embroidery works best on thick products: polo, jacket, coat, and accessories such as cap, bag, towel. On a thin textile, the thread marks the material.

What embroidery needs in addition

To embroider your logo, our machines need an embroidery program, also called a stitching program. It is a digital file that translates the shapes, colors and outlines of your logo into a precise sequence of stitches, using the thread spools the machine has.

An embroidery program usually comes as three files:

the .dst file (or .pes, or .exp), the one sent to the machine;
the .emb file, which allows the program to be edited with certain software;
the .pdf file, which gives the stitch count, the dimensions, the code and length of each thread, and above all a calculated visual of what the embroidery will look like.

If you do not have these files

We have to get them produced by our embroidery service. Contact us: it is a routine operation, done once per logo.

What embroidery cannot do

A complex design, or one with very fine details, sometimes has to be simplified to fit the machine's capabilities. An embroidery machine reproduces neither tiny details nor color gradients.
