How do I get an embroidery logo?
Short answer: You cannot create it yourself: contact us with your logo and, if you have it, its embroidery program (.dst, .emb and .pdf files). We create the embroidery logo in “My logos”, and it becomes usable on the products that are embroidered.
Steps
- Check that embroidery suits your products. It is required on kimonos and the other martial-arts products, which we do not mark with DTF printing; it is only possible on thick products (polo, jacket, coat, cap, bag, towel) and does not suit thin textiles. See Can my logo be embroidered.
- Gather what you have: your logo and, if a workshop has already embroidered it for you, its embroidery program — three files, .dst (or .pes, .exp), .emb and .pdf. If you do not have it, our embroidery service makes it for you: it is charged once, the program then belongs to you, and it is only valid for one logo size, 80 cm² at most (about 9 cm across).
- Contact us (support@dagoba.fr) with these files attached, saying which products you have in mind and the logo size you want. You cannot create this logo yourself: on a new logo's sheet, the Marking technique choice only offers DTF printing and Logo for mug.
- We create the logo in the My logos tab of the Shops page. Its sheet shows “Marking: Embroidery” and, once the program is in place, “Embroidery program available for this logo”. You cannot edit this sheet: neither the name, nor the image, nor the program files, which DAGOBA manages.
- Put it on your products like any other logo, on a draft (orange Modify the shop (create a draft) button). In a kimono's configuration, only embroidery logos (or ecussons) are offered; on the other products, the embroidery logo comes in addition to the printed ones; on caps and other headwear, it is only offered if it is 50 mm high at most. Each embroidery has a unit price, added to the product price. See How do I put my logo on a product.
You'll know it worked when: In “My logos”, a logo shows “Marking: Embroidery” and “Embroidery program available for this logo”, and a kimono's configuration offers it.
Until an embroidery logo exists
A kimono's configuration shows, in red, “You must have an embroidery or ecusson logo in your logos for this product! Contact support@dagoba.fr if you don't have one.” and offers no logo: the product cannot carry your logo before step 4.
Shops created for judo or karate
Your shop already holds a logo named Embroidery, generated automatically from your logo to prepare the demonstration, with the note “Automatically generated logo, upload your own instead!”. It sits on your kimonos, but you cannot upload anything in its place: the embroidery program of step 3 is what makes it real, and we need it before producing the first embroidered order.
