How do I announce a free delivery operation to my contacts?
Short answer: The running operation, in the “Free delivery” tab, offers “Create an email draft to announce the operation”: it prepares a template filled in with the dates. You review it, then send it from the Contacts page.
Steps
- In the “Free delivery” tab, under the running operation, click “Create an email draft to announce the operation”.
- You land on the “Email Templates” tab, with a new template already filled in: a name, a subject mentioning the end date, and a body announcing the operation and pointing to the shop.
- Read it over and adapt the wording to your organisation. Save the template.
- Open the Contacts page, select the recipients, click “Send Email”, then pick that template under “Use a template”.
- Send.
The draft is a template like any other: it stays in your list and can be reused for the next operation, with the dates changed.
Do not stop at the email
Part of your community does not read its email. The announcement shown on the shop's home page reaches those already visiting it; a post on your social media and a word at a gathering reach the rest. Give the shop's full address and the end date every time.
The right moment
An operation needs at least 3 orders to succeed. Announce it as soon as it opens rather than halfway through, and plan a reminder a few days before the end.
Going further
You'll know it worked when: The announcement emailing has gone out, and the Send History carries a record of it.
