What is the Contacts page for?
Short answer: The Contacts page gathers the people who have ordered on your shops, plus the ones you add yourself. Each has a profile with their details, their orders, their tags and their history.
Steps
- In the dashboard menu, open Contacts.
- Next to the title, the orange pill gives the number of contacts on the account.
- For each person the list gives their name, their primary email, their Tags, their number of orders (Orders) and their Total spent.
- Click a row: that contact's profile opens on the right.
You'll know it worked when: The list shows your contacts, and clicking a row opens that contact's profile on the right.
What you can do here
| Action | Where |
|---|---|
| Add contacts | The New contact and Import buttons, top right. |
| Find a subset | The search box and the filters, above the list. |
| Apply tags | On one profile, or on a whole selection. |
| Send an email | On one profile, or on a whole selection. |
| Merge duplicates, delete | From the bar that appears when you tick rows. |
There is nothing to type in to get started: as soon as an order is placed on one of your shops, the buyer shows up here on their own.
