I can no longer add a product to my shop?
Short answer: A shop takes 23 products (26 for karate clubs), across all collections. This limit can be raised: contact us if your organisation has a particular need.
Cause
The total is counted across all the collections of the shop, not collection by collection. So you can be blocked even though no single collection is full.
The standard limit is 23 products. It is raised to 26 for karate clubs, because we offer several accessories specific to karate.
Making room
Put multi-version products back together. Kept together, all the versions of a product count as one. See How do I separate the versions of a product.
Take out what does not appeal. A product taken out of a collection goes back to your selection: it is not lost, and one drag and drop puts it back into a collection. See Catalog, selection, collection — what is the difference.
Rotate the products. Rather than presenting everything permanently, change the shop through the seasons or your organisation's events, and tell your community each time. A shop that moves is a shop people come back to.
If you really need more
The limit is not absolute. Contact us and explain your situation — the number of products can be raised for your account if the need is real.
A very full shop is not necessarily a shop that does better. Past twenty or so items, the buyer chooses less well, not better.
