My email address is still the old one, why?
Short answer: The change is waiting for your confirmation. Open the message sent to the new address and click its link: until you do, the old address stays yours.
How to spot it on the page
The shield at the end of the Email Address field is orange instead of green, and its tooltip reads “Email address waiting for validation”.
The message did not arrive
Two buttons appear just under the Email Address field:
- Send me a new confirmation email sends the message again, to the new address. Do check your spam folder.
- Cancel registration of this address drops the change. A window asks you to confirm, then the link already sent stops working and your address stays the old one.
You mistyped the address
Click Cancel registration of this address: the field shows your current address again, and you can start over with the right one.
The link is more than two days old
It has expired. Click Send me a new confirmation email to get a fresh one.
