My logo background did not become transparent?

Short answer: Automatic removal only works if the background is perfectly uniform and the design does not touch the edges of the image. And even when it succeeds, it is there to display your shop — not to print it.

Causes

Automatic background removal fails if:

the background is not perfectly uniform (a slight gradient, a shadow, a texture, JPEG compression);
the design touches the edges of the image.

In those cases the background is kept as-is, and the logo will appear inside a solid rectangle on your products.

A background removed automatically does not make the file printable

This is the most important point, and it often comes as a surprise.

Automatic removal is a display workaround: it lets you build your shop and see it on screen with a presentable logo. It does not turn your file into a print file.

Think of it the other way round: if we had to strip the background, it means your file had no transparency. A logo prepared for printing has transparency from the start — the graphic designer supplies it. A file delivered without transparency is almost always a web export, a screenshot or a preview: cutting that file out removes its rectangle, but it adds no dimensions in pixels and no sharpness to the outlines. Automatic cut-out also often leaves a fringe or stair-stepped edges, invisible on screen and very visible once printed.

What we need in order to print: an SVG file, or a PNG of roughly 4000 px on the longest side, at 300 dpi, with the transparency already present in the file.

Solution

Ask your graphic designer for the SVG file of your logo: it is vector, therefore transparent by construction, and you upload it as it is.
