A product or a color is no longer available?

Short answer: The supplier has discontinued the product or the shade. It has to be removed from the shop: as long as it is there, the shop cannot be put into service.

Cause

Our catalog follows our suppliers' collections, which they renew regularly. A product or a color dropped at the supplier can no longer be produced — even if they are still configured in your shop.
The system does not delete them from your shop on its own: it flags them, and you decide on the replacement. Removing a product from a live shop without asking would be worse than warning you.

The two cases

The whole product is discontinued. The message says it is no longer available and must be removed from the shop. Take it out of every collection where it appears, then choose a replacement from the catalog.
A single color is discontinued. The product remains available in its other colors. Open its configuration in the collection and remove the flagged color — see How do I choose the colors of a product.

Solution

  1. Open a draft of the shop (orange “Modify the shop (create a draft)” button).
  2. Remove the product, or the color concerned, where it is flagged.
  3. If the product was useful to you, pick an equivalent from the catalog and give it its logo again.
  4. Put the draft into service.
As long as a discontinued product or color remains, putting the shop into service is refused. If your shop refuses to go into service for no apparent reason, look for a flag of this kind on your products first.
A discontinued product can also stay in your selection without bothering anyone: it is only visible to buyers if it is in a collection. You can take it out of there quietly, later.
