How do I end or cancel a free delivery operation?

Short answer: An active operation is stopped with “End now”; a scheduled one is withdrawn with “Cancel”. Left alone, an operation ends by itself at the term of its period.

The automatic end

Normally there is nothing to do: an operation stops by itself the morning after its last day, at 8 am, and the shop goes back to normal operation.

Ending a running operation

  1. Open Promotions, tab “Free delivery”.
  2. Under the operation at the “Active” status, click “End now”.
  3. Confirm: “End the free-delivery operation now? The shop will return to normal operation.”
The shop is rebuilt to take the announcement down and restore the usual delivery fees. Orders already placed during the operation stay in the operation.

Cancelling an operation that has not started

On a card at the “Scheduled” status, click “Cancel” and confirm: “Cancel this scheduled period?”
Nothing has been applied to the shop, so there is no rebuild and no address to supply afterwards.
An operation that ended with at least one order still needs handling: it will ask you for the grouped delivery address. See How do I give the delivery address for an operation.

Finding past operations

The “History” part of the tab keeps the most recent ended or cancelled operations.

Going further

You'll know it worked when: The operation has moved to the “Ended” or “Cancelled” status, and the shop has gone back to normal operation.
