How do I insert an image in my emails?

Short answer: Upload it once in Promotions, tab “Visuals”. It can then be inserted anywhere: in the body of an email, in a signature, or as an attachment.

Steps

  1. Open the Promotions page, then the “Visuals” tab.
  2. Click “Upload” and choose your file. Images and PDFs are both accepted.
  3. Give it a meaningful “Name” and, if you want to sort them later, a “Category” among “Partner”, “Premises”, “Flyer” and “Other”.
  4. In an email or a signature, insert the image from the editor toolbar; to send it as a file, use “From visuals” in the attachments.

The three sources

The tab offers three views, and the image picker mirrors them:
  • “Uploaded” — the files you loaded here.
  • “Logos” — every logo on your account, available read-only. Nothing to upload again: they are already there.
  • “Generated” — the visuals produced by the Studio.
A star marks the logo used by your default signature.

Images and PDFs are not used the same way

An image can be inserted into the body of the email or sent as an attachment, whichever you prefer.
A PDF cannot be inserted into the body of an email: it is sent as an attachment. That is the usual case for a flyer prepared elsewhere, or for an A4 flyer out of the Studio.
When you use a visual in an email, a copy of the file is made for that email. Deleting the visual later therefore does not change an email already sent or already scheduled.

Going further

You'll know it worked when: The file appears in the “Visuals” tab and is offered under “From visuals” when sending.
