How do I upload my logo?

Short answer: Two routes, depending on your situation. If your list of logos is empty, create a logo with the “Add a new logo” button. If it already contains a logo — which is the case on every demo shop — replace its image instead of creating a new one.

Which of the two

Start by opening the “Shops” page, then the “My logos” tab in the left-hand panel (next to “My products”). Your logos are shown there as thumbnails. What you see decides what comes next:
What you see in “My logos” What to do
No logo, or a logo unrelated to the one you are adding A — Create a new logo
A logo already there that yours is meant to replace — typically the automatically generated logo of your demo shop B — Replace the image of the existing logo
On a demo shop, take route B
Your demo shop comes with an automatically generated logo, and all of its products already use it. If you create a new logo alongside it, the products will carry on showing the old one: you would then have to go back through every product one by one to change the logo.
By replacing the image inside the existing logo, every product follows on its own, with no reconfiguration at all. The detail sheet of these logos reminds you: “Automatically generated logo, upload your own instead!”
  1. Under the thumbnails, click “Add a new logo”. The detail sheet of the new logo opens on the right-hand side of the screen.
  2. Click the large “Click or drop an image here” frame and pick your file. You can also drag the file straight onto that frame. Two formats are accepted: a vector SVG file — the better choice — or a PNG with a transparent background. See What file format should my logo be.
  3. At the top of the detail sheet, click the “Give a name to this logo” text and type a short name (for example “Red logo”). That name is how you will find it again when you configure your products.
  4. Under the preview, at the question “Based on the below previews, this logo is adapted for these textile colors”, select “Light”, “Deep” or “All / I am not sure” — see Light background or deep background — which should I choose.
  5. Click “Save”.
  1. Click the thumbnail of the logo to replace: its detail sheet opens on the right.
  2. On the preview, click the small icon at the top left of the image — the one that changes the file — and pick your SVG or PNG file. On an automatically generated logo, an arrow and the message “Click on this icon to chose a logo file to upload” point it out for you.
  3. Check the “Light” / “Deep” / “All / I am not sure” setting, then click “Save”.
Keep the same name: what is attached to your products is the logo, not the file. The rest of the procedure — in particular putting the shop into service if it is already live — is in I have received my real logo, how do I replace it.
In both cases, the “Save” button stays inactive as long as no image has been uploaded: it is the image that makes the logo, a name on its own is not enough.
The logo's versions and their prices only appear after you save — until then, the detail sheet shows “Please save to see the price of the logo according to the different possible sizes”. See What is a logo version and why are there several.

Going further

You'll know it worked when: The logo appears as a thumbnail in the “My logos” tab with your own image, and its detail sheet shows the table of versions with their prices. If you replaced the image of an existing logo, the products that were using it show the new image with no reconfiguration.
