How many contacts can I import?
Short answer: 2,000 contacts at most on your account, and 5,000 rows at most per file. Only people who are not already in your contacts count towards the 2,000. Beyond that, write to us: the limit can be raised.
The two limits

Only new people count
Before accepting a file, the system looks at how many people it would really add. A row matching someone you already have does not count towards the 2,000: it will be merged, not created.
So you can re-import your complete file to update names or tags even when your account is already well filled: a file that adds nobody uses nothing up.
Going past 2,000 contacts
The message shown carries the address to write to. Just tell us how many contacts you need to load.
The limit is checked as soon as you pick the file, before the mapping screen: you know straight away whether the import will go through, without having to set everything up for nothing.
