What are tags for?
Short answer: A tag is a colored label you put on contacts to group them by your own criteria: parents, committee, under-15s, volunteers. You then use it to filter the list and to target an emailing.
What it actually gets you
You decide the categories. Nothing is imposed: a tag is just a word you choose and a color.
| What you want to do | The tag that allows it |
|---|---|
| Write to the parents only | A "parents" tag on the right profiles |
| Find the volunteers of an event | One tag per event |
| Tell the teams apart | One tag per team |
Where they show up
On a contact's profile, tags show as pills under their name. In the contacts list, they take the Tags column.
The Tags section of the menu gathers all of your organisation's, with the number of contacts each one carries.
Tags are internal to your organisation. They are never visible to the buyers on your shops.
