How do I tag several contacts at once?
Short answer: Tick the contacts in the list: an orange bar appears with Add Tag(s) and Remove Tag(s). Pick the tags, then Apply.
Steps
- Open Contacts and tick the checkbox on the rows you want.
- The orange bar appears above the list, with the number of contacts selected.
- Click Add Tag(s) — or Remove Tag(s) for the opposite operation.
- Tick the tags you want. Create new tag is available if the one you need does not exist yet.
- Click Apply.
You'll know it worked when: The chosen tags appear in the Tags column of every selected contact.
Tagging beyond the page on screen
When every row on the page is ticked and other pages remain, a link offers to select all N contacts: the bar then shows "(all pages)" and the tagging covers everything your filters keep, not just the page.
That is how you tag the result of a filter in one go.
For a single person the profile is quicker: the add-tag button sits under their name, and the cross on a pill removes it.
