What is a multi-version product?

Short answer: A product that exists in several variations — often Men, Women and Junior. They travel together, are gathered into a single tile on the shop, and count as one product in the collection.

Many catalog products exist in several versions. The system treats them as a set, and that shows in three places.

In the selection. When you add a product, the other versions are added with it — unless you uncheck “Add the other versions of this product”. The same checkbox comes back when you change the colors or remove a product already selected — it then reads “Apply the below action also to the other versions of this product”. Check it to carry the change across every version, uncheck it to touch only this one.

In the collection. The versions appear attached to one another, and the set counts as a single product against the collection limit. A t-shirt in three versions therefore takes one place, not three. See I can no longer add a product to my collection.

On the shop. The versions are gathered into a single tile. The buyer picks their version when ordering, instead of seeing three near-identical thumbnails.

The one placed at the head of its own group of versions. Grab the version you want with the mouse and move it in front of the other versions of the same product.

Careful not to mix the two up: this is not about putting it in first position in the collection. The versions of one product stay side by side, and only their order among themselves decides which one is shown.
