What is a text personalization?

Short answer: A text the buyer adds to the product when ordering — a first name on the back, a number, a few words on a bag. It is a paid option they choose, not a marking you apply.

Who decides what

That is the difference with the logo. The logo is yours: you choose it, you place it, it is the same for every buyer. The personalization is the buyer's: you open the possibility and set how it looks, they decide whether they want one and what it says.
Nearly all our products have personalization slots: a text at the top of the back, a number in the middle of the back, a small text on the chest, a text on the front or the top of a bag.

What you set, what you do not

You set the font, the text color on light products and on deep products, and whether personalizations are allowed — globally or product by product. See How do I choose the font and colors for text personalizations.
You do not set the content or the dimensions: the buyer writes what they want, and the system works out the size. See How big will the text personalization be.

What it changes for your shop

A personalization is a paid option the buyer adds to their order. The product price shown on the shop does not change: the personalization is added at the moment they choose it.
Our personalizations are produced with DTF printing, like the logos, rather than with flex rolls limited to a few colors. That is what lets you choose the text color freely. See What is DTF printing.
