Where does the money in my money pot come from?
Short answer: From two sources: the margins you set on products, credited on every sale on the shop, and the payments you make yourself by card or bank transfer.
Margins
This is the main source. On a shop with margins, you set an amount for each product that is added to its price. Every time that product sells on the shop, the amount is credited to your money pot, less the transaction fees.
This credit is a royalty DAGOBA pays your organization in return for the use of its logo on the items sold. Its amount equals the margin you set.
Every credit of this kind is itemised in the list: the shop, the buyer, the order number and the item sold. So you can trace a euro back to the order that produced it.
Your own payments
You can also pay money into the pot yourself, by card or bank transfer. That is what to do when an order is held up for lack of funds to cover a coupon. Such a payment is an advance payment against your future purchases from DAGOBA.
What empties it
Debits come from gift cards you issue, from coupons at the moment they pay for an order, from bank withdrawals, and from the transaction fees charged on the 1st of each month.
