How do I close my shop?

Short answer: If the shop has never received an order, delete it yourself: on the Shops page, select it and click the red button with the trash icon in the action bar. If it has received orders, contact us and we will close it, at no cost.

Deleting a shop that has never sold

A test shop, a shop set up for an event that was canceled, a duplicate: as long as no order has been placed on it, you delete it yourself.
  1. Open the Shops page of the dashboard and select the shop in the list on the left. You must be on the shop itself, not on its draft: if a draft exists, delete it first with its own red button, whose tooltip reads "Delete the whole draft".
  2. In the action bar, click the red button with the trash icon; its tooltip reads "Delete this shop".
  3. Confirm in the "Delete this shop" window by clicking "Yes". The action is permanent: the shop's website is taken down and it disappears from your list.
The button does not show while changes are unsaved or while the website is being built: save, or wait for the build to finish.

Getting a shop that has received orders closed

Once an order has been placed, the red button stays visible but disabled, and its tooltip asks you to contact our support: the shop carries an order history that we keep.
  1. Contact us, giving the address of the shop concerned.
  2. DAGOBA closes it. No fee applies, at opening or at closing.
  3. If orders are in progress, the closing itself waits for them to be handled — see What happens to orders in progress if I close my shop.

Deleting the whole account

This is a different, wider request: it covers your account, and therefore all of its shops, contacts and logos.
  1. Open the Organisation page of the dashboard.
  2. Click "Delete my account".
  3. Confirm in the "Deletion request" window. The system records the request, and a banner then recalls the date it was made.
  4. A DAGOBA administrator handles the request.
If you only want to leave the shop dormant, closing is not needed: a shop with no orders costs nothing. Simply keep the links in place so it is not read as abandoned.

Going further

You'll know it worked when: The shop is gone from your list of shops, or your closing request is recorded at DAGOBA and the shop no longer accepts new orders.
