How do I delete a contact?

Short answer: Only the contacts you added yourself, by hand or by import, can be deleted. Those that came from an order are kept.

You'll know it worked when: The contact is gone from the list, and the counter at the top of the page has dropped accordingly.

Tick the rows you want, then Delete in the orange bar. A confirmation states how many contacts are concerned.

If your selection holds contacts that cannot be deleted, the window says so: "Contacts synced from your shop cannot be deleted and will be skipped." The others are deleted as expected.

Someone who ordered on one of your shops is attached to their orders. Their profile is therefore kept, and the bin icon does not appear.

To stop writing to them, withdraw their marketing consent rather than trying to delete the profile.
