How do I find an order?
Short answer: The search box accepts an order number or a customer name, nothing else. The Status menu beside it narrows the list to one state, and the cross that then appears clears every filter at once.
Steps
- Open the Orders page.
- Type your search into the Search by order # or customer... box at the top of the list. The start of a number or part of a name is enough.
- To keep one state only, open the Status menu and pick a pill. All brings the whole list back.
- To change the order, click a column header: Order # sorts by date, Items by number of products, Amount by amount. A second click reverses it.
- If the list is long, the selector at the bottom switches from 25 to 50 or 100 rows per page.
- To start over, click the cross to the right of the Status menu: it only appears while a filter is on, and it clears them all.
The search only looks at the order number and the customer's name. A product name, an email address or a size will return nothing. To find someone by their email, go through the Contacts page: their sheet lists their orders.
You'll know it worked when: The order you were after is the only row on screen, or sits in a short list.
