How do I generate a batch of coupons or gift cards?
Short answer: On the Use my money pot page, use Generate a batch of coupons or Generate a batch of gift cards: give the number and the amount per unit, and collect the codes in a spreadsheet.
If your aim is to email these codes to your contacts, do not go through here: do it from Promotions. An emailing creates a code of its own for each recipient and sends it with the message, with nothing for you to hand out. The batch described on this page is for codes you distribute yourself — to print, to hand over, or to share as a file.
Steps
- On the Use my money pot page, click Generate a batch of coupons or Generate a batch of gift cards.
- Enter the Number of cards, from 1 to 100.
- Enter the amount per unit: 1 € minimum, in whole euros.
- Give a Batch name if you want — for example "Annual tournament 2026". It will help you find the batch later.
- Pick an Expiry date, otherwise it is set one year out.
- Check the summary — the total and the balance after issue — then click Generate the batch.
- Collect the files: Download spreadsheet for the list of codes, and for gift cards the ZIP file of all the images.
You'll know it worked when: The window announces "Batch generated" and offers the spreadsheet of codes, plus the ZIP file of images for a batch of gift cards.
What differs between the two batches
A batch of gift cards is debited from the money pot immediately: the balance has to cover the total, otherwise the batch is refused. A batch of coupons is not debited on issue, so it can exceed the balance.
Generating a large batch of gift cards takes several tens of seconds: the images are produced one by one. A progress bar follows it — leave the window open.
